Geylang Ramadan Bazaar- In the eyes of a vegetarian

I was scrolling through Facebook, when I read this article.

In my mind, I was like " OMG.. I want to go!!'  Tagged my man, and he was psyched too. Actually thinking back, maybe it's only me that is happy..haha..lol..

So, that weekend, we went to the Geylang Ramadan Bazaar.  This bazaar was actually a temporary market for all sorts of Muslim stuff during the Ramadan period.

It was drizzling when we arrived, my man was famished since he did not had breakfast yet. So both of us are hurrying, trying to find a decent food stall that both of us can eat.

Along the way, I saw this beautiful anchan drink. Seems to be from Thailand. We ordered watermelon anchan drink, don't remember the price, but it was certainly expensive for a drink.

Gimmick and disgusting. Maybe because I hate that artificial watermelon taste. The anchan tea is tasteless by itself so they added in flavor syrups according to your order.  Definitely do not recommend.

As a vegetarian, most of those halal food or food sold in pasar malam or these kind of bazaars are definitely non-vegetarian. So it was really difficult for me.  I ended up with a Thai milktea soft serve (smallish for the price tag), a Thai green milk tea drink (tea was super bitter and strong), a pack of cheese fries ( the cheese sauce was weird though).

So in conclusion, if you are a vegetarian and going to Geylang Ramadan Bazaar after your meals, you should. Partake in the different sights and cultural experience. Not worth going for the hipsterish food though.   #vegetarian
